Salah&nbsp;satu&nbsp;pendekatan&nbsp;yang&nbsp;sedangdikembangkan&nbsp;oleh&nbsp;pemerintah&nbsp;Indonesia&nbsp;adalahpenggunaan&nbsp;bakteri&nbsp;Wolbachia&nbsp;sebagai&nbsp;alat&nbsp;untukmengendalikan&nbsp;populasi&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;Aedes aegypti,&nbsp;vektorpenyakit&nbsp;menular&nbsp;seperti&nbsp;demam&nbsp;berdarah&nbsp;dan Zika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Program&nbsp;pemerintah&nbsp;ini&nbsp;menandai&nbsp;inovasi&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;upayapengendalian&nbsp;vektor&nbsp;penyakit&nbsp;dan&nbsp;dapat&nbsp;memilikidampak&nbsp;yang&nbsp;signifikan&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;menekan&nbsp;penyebaranpenyakit&nbsp;yang&nbsp;ditularkan&nbsp;oleh&nbsp;nyamuk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melansir&nbsp;dari&nbsp;situs Kementerian&nbsp;Kesehatan&nbsp;Ditjen&nbsp;P2P, Wolbachia&nbsp;adalah&nbsp;bakteri&nbsp;alami&nbsp;pada 60&nbsp;persenserangga.&nbsp;Bakteria&nbsp;Wolbachia&nbsp;tidak&nbsp;menginfeksimanusia&nbsp;atau&nbsp;Vertebrata yang lain, dan&nbsp;tidakmenyebabkan&nbsp;manusia&nbsp;atau&nbsp;hewan&nbsp;menjadi&nbsp;sakit.&nbsp;Wolbachia&nbsp;hanya&nbsp;hidup&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;sel&nbsp;serangga&nbsp;dan&nbsp;dapatditurunkan&nbsp;dari&nbsp;generasi&nbsp;ke&nbsp;generasi&nbsp;berikutnya&nbsp;melaluitelur.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wolbachia&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;tubuh&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;Aedes aegypti&nbsp;dapatmenurunkan&nbsp;replikasi&nbsp;virus dengue&nbsp;sehingga&nbsp;dapatmengurangi&nbsp;kemampuan&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;tersebut&nbsp;sebagaipenular&nbsp;demam&nbsp;berdarah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pertambahan&nbsp;bakteri&nbsp;atau&nbsp;virus&nbsp;terjadi&nbsp;melaluimekanisme&nbsp;kompetisi&nbsp;mendapatkan&nbsp;makanan&nbsp;antaravirus dengue dan&nbsp;bakteri&nbsp;Wolbachia&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;tubuhnyamuk. Makin&nbsp;sedikit&nbsp;mendapatkan&nbsp;suplai&nbsp;makanan,&nbsp;makin&nbsp;sulit&nbsp;virus dengue&nbsp;berkembang&nbsp;biak&nbsp;(replikasi).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nyamuk&nbsp;ber-Wolbachia&nbsp;dikabarkan&nbsp;disebar&nbsp;pada lima&nbsp;kota&nbsp;besar,&nbsp;yakni&nbsp;Kota Semarang, Kota&nbsp;Bontang, Kota&nbsp;Kupang, Kota Jakarta Barat, dan Kota Bandung.&nbsp;InovasiWolbachia&nbsp;sendiri&nbsp;dinilai&nbsp;aman&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;jangka&nbsp;panjang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hal&nbsp;ini&nbsp;disampaikan&nbsp;oleh&nbsp;Entomolog&nbsp;Institut&nbsp;PertanianBogor, Prof. Damayanti&nbsp;Buchori, di mana&nbsp;melakukananalisa&nbsp;terkait&nbsp;inovasi&nbsp;Wolbachia&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;jangka&nbsp;panjang.&nbsp;Hasilnya&nbsp;adalah&nbsp;penerapan&nbsp;teknologi&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;ber-wolbachia&nbsp;untuk&nbsp;menekan&nbsp;penyebaran&nbsp;virus&nbsp;demamberdarah&nbsp;aman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lebih&nbsp;lanjut,&nbsp;bahkan&nbsp;inovasi&nbsp;ini&nbsp;aman&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;jangkawaktu&nbsp;30&nbsp;tahun&nbsp;ke&nbsp;depan&nbsp;risikonya&nbsp;dapat&nbsp;diabaikan.&nbsp;Namun, monitoring&nbsp;tetap&nbsp;perlu&nbsp;dilakukan&nbsp;untuk&nbsp;melihatperkembangannya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Direktur&nbsp;Jenderal&nbsp;Pencegahan&nbsp;dan&nbsp;PengendalianPenyakit, Maxi Rein&nbsp;Rondonuwu&nbsp;menegaskan&nbsp;bahwapenyebaran&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;ber-wolbachia&nbsp;dipastikan&nbsp;aman. Hal&nbsp;ini&nbsp;karena&nbsp;telah&nbsp;melalui&nbsp;proses&nbsp;penelitian&nbsp;yang&nbsp;cukup&nbsp;panjang&nbsp;dengan&nbsp;turut&nbsp;melibatkan&nbsp;banyak&nbsp;ahli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hasilnya,&nbsp;penyebaran&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;ber-Wolbachia&nbsp;untukmengurangi&nbsp;demam&nbsp;berdarah&nbsp;terbukti&nbsp;efektifmenurunkan&nbsp;angka&nbsp;kejadian&nbsp;dengue&nbsp;hingga&nbsp;77&nbsp;persendan&nbsp;angka&nbsp;perawatan&nbsp;di&nbsp;rumah&nbsp;sakit&nbsp;sebesar&nbsp;86&nbsp;persen.&nbsp;Penggunaan&nbsp;fogging&nbsp;atau&nbsp;pengasapan&nbsp;perlahan&nbsp;juga&nbsp;turun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saat&nbsp;ini, program&nbsp;pemerintahan&nbsp;tersebut&nbsp;telah&nbsp;berjalan.&nbsp;Seperti&nbsp;implementasi&nbsp;yang&nbsp;dilakukan&nbsp;di Sleman.&nbsp;Metodeini&nbsp;tengah&nbsp;diteliti&nbsp;dengan&nbsp;melepaskan&nbsp;ribuan&nbsp;nyamukber-wolbachia&nbsp;di&nbsp;dua&nbsp;padukuhan,&nbsp;Kronggahan&nbsp;dan&nbsp;Nogotirto, Sleman.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Masing-masing&nbsp;setiap&nbsp;rumah&nbsp;disebar&nbsp;hingga&nbsp;delapanhingga&nbsp;10&nbsp;ekor&nbsp;nyamuk.&nbsp;Selama&nbsp;sembilan&nbsp;bulan&nbsp;pascapelepasan&nbsp;sewak&nbsp;awal&nbsp;tahun&nbsp;2014, di&nbsp;dua&nbsp;wilayahpenelitian&nbsp;tersebut&nbsp;diketahui&nbsp;ada&nbsp;peningkatan&nbsp;populasinyamuk&nbsp;ber-Wolbachia&nbsp;hingga&nbsp;60- 80%.&nbsp;Penelitimengklaim&nbsp;wolbachia&nbsp;terus&nbsp;menyebar&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;populasinyamuk&nbsp;setempat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peneliti&nbsp;<em>Eliminate&nbsp;<\/em><em>Dengeu<\/em><em>&nbsp;Project<\/em>&nbsp;(EDP) UGM,&nbsp;RirisAndono&nbsp;Ahmad&nbsp;mengatakan&nbsp;elepasan&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;setiappekan&nbsp;ini&nbsp;akan&nbsp;dilanjutkan&nbsp;hingga&nbsp;nantinya&nbsp;100&nbsp;persennyamuk&nbsp;di&nbsp;kota&nbsp;tersebut&nbsp;memiliki&nbsp;Wolbachia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pemerhati&nbsp;Ilmu&nbsp;kedokteran&nbsp;tropis&nbsp;ini&nbsp;menjelaskan&nbsp;besarkemungkinan&nbsp;pelepasan&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;ber-wolbachia&nbsp;ini&nbsp;akandiperluas&nbsp;di masa&nbsp;mendatang&nbsp;setelah&nbsp;mendapatkanhasil&nbsp;dari&nbsp;penelitian&nbsp;dan&nbsp;pengamatan&nbsp;dari&nbsp;hasil&nbsp;duapadukuhan&nbsp;tersebut.&nbsp;Disebutnya&nbsp;hasilnya&nbsp;akan&nbsp;sangatmenjanjikan&nbsp;meski&nbsp;masih&nbsp;berlangsung&nbsp;akan&nbsp;tetapi&nbsp;yangdiharapkan&nbsp;adalah&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;ber-wolbachia&nbsp;dapatberkembang&nbsp;biak&nbsp;mengikuti&nbsp;fase&nbsp;alamiahnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rencananya&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;waktu&nbsp;dekat, EDP UGM&nbsp;akanmelepas&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;ber-wolbachia&nbsp;di&nbsp;empat&nbsp;lokasipenelitian&nbsp;yang&nbsp;berada&nbsp;di&nbsp;Kabupaten&nbsp;Bantul dan Sleman.&nbsp;Sementara&nbsp;pelepasan&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;aedes&nbsp;aegypti di&nbsp;Krongahan&nbsp;dan&nbsp;Nogotirto&nbsp;sudah&nbsp;dimulai&nbsp;sejak&nbsp;awalJanuari&nbsp;lalu.&nbsp;Hasilnya,&nbsp;diketahui&nbsp;sebagian&nbsp;besar&nbsp;nyamukyang&nbsp;mengandung&nbsp;wolbachia&nbsp;tersebut&nbsp;kawin&nbsp;dengannyamuk&nbsp;biasa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senada&nbsp;dengan&nbsp;dukungan&nbsp;terhadap&nbsp;Program Wolbachia,&nbsp;Kepala&nbsp;Dinas&nbsp;Kesehatan&nbsp;(Kadinkes) Kota Bandung,&nbsp;Anhar&nbsp;Hadian&nbsp;mengatakan&nbsp;program&nbsp;nyamukwolbachia&nbsp;ini&nbsp;diharapkan&nbsp;akan&nbsp;menjadi&nbsp;salah&nbsp;satu&nbsp;upayamenekan&nbsp;kasus&nbsp;DBD di Kota Bandung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anhar&nbsp;menilai, program&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;wolbachia&nbsp;ini&nbsp;terbuktiefektif&nbsp;menurunkan&nbsp;tingkat&nbsp;DBD di&nbsp;beberapa&nbsp;wilayah. Kota&nbsp;pertama&nbsp;yang&nbsp;mengimplementasikan&nbsp;inovasi&nbsp;iniadalah&nbsp;Yogyakarta. Dari&nbsp;penelitian&nbsp;dan&nbsp;implementasiwolbachia&nbsp;di&nbsp;sana,&nbsp;kasus&nbsp;DBD&nbsp;bisa&nbsp;turun&nbsp;sampai&nbsp;70&nbsp;persen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saat&nbsp;ini,&nbsp;telur&nbsp;wolbacia&nbsp;sudah&nbsp;disebar&nbsp;di&nbsp;KelurahanPasanggrahan&nbsp;Kecamatan&nbsp;Ujungberung&nbsp;telahmencapai&nbsp;<br>123.000 &#8211; 154.000&nbsp;telur&nbsp;yang&nbsp;ditempatkan&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;308 ember.&nbsp;Nantinya, program&nbsp;ini&nbsp;akan&nbsp;melewati&nbsp;beberapafase.&nbsp;Yakni,&nbsp;fase&nbsp;penyebaran&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;berlangsungselama&nbsp;6&nbsp;bulan,&nbsp;lalu&nbsp;fase&nbsp;dampaknya&nbsp;sekitar&nbsp;1&nbsp;sampai&nbsp;2&nbsp;tahun&nbsp;kemudian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Program&nbsp;ini, kata&nbsp;Anhar&nbsp;diharapkan&nbsp;dapat&nbsp;menekankasus&nbsp;DBD di Kota Bandung.&nbsp;Meski&nbsp;begitu,&nbsp;implementasi&nbsp;wolbachia&nbsp;ini&nbsp;bukan&nbsp;berarti&nbsp;menggantikanseluruh&nbsp;upaya&nbsp;pencegahan&nbsp;DBD yang&nbsp;ada.&nbsp;Langkah-langkah&nbsp;sebelumnya&nbsp;akan&nbsp;tetap&nbsp;dijalankan,&nbsp;seperti&nbsp;3M (menguras,&nbsp;menutup, dan&nbsp;mengubur), fogging&nbsp;sesuaiindikasi, dan&nbsp;Gerakan&nbsp;Satu&nbsp;Rumah&nbsp;Satu&nbsp;Juru&nbsp;Jumantik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Program&nbsp;penyebaran&nbsp;Wolbachia di Indonesia&nbsp;telahmenunjukkan&nbsp;hasil&nbsp;yang&nbsp;menggembirakan&nbsp;dalambeberapa&nbsp;uji&nbsp;coba&nbsp;awal.&nbsp;Pengurangan&nbsp;signifikan&nbsp;dalampopulasi&nbsp;nyamuk&nbsp;Aedes aegypti&nbsp;telah&nbsp;terjadi&nbsp;di&nbsp;beberapa&nbsp;wilayah&nbsp;yang&nbsp;telah&nbsp;diintervensi.&nbsp;Selain&nbsp;itu,&nbsp;tidak&nbsp;adanya&nbsp;bukti&nbsp;peningkatan&nbsp;resistensi&nbsp;atau&nbsp;dampaknegatif&nbsp;lainnya&nbsp;dari&nbsp;bakteri&nbsp;Wolbachia pada&nbsp;ekosistemjuga&nbsp;merupakan&nbsp;pencapaian&nbsp;positif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hal&nbsp;tersebut&nbsp;menandakan&nbsp;langkah&nbsp;maju&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;upayapengendalian&nbsp;penyakit&nbsp;menular&nbsp;yang&nbsp;ditularkan&nbsp;oleh&nbsp;nyamuk.&nbsp;Diharapkan&nbsp;bahwa&nbsp;melalui&nbsp;kombinasi&nbsp;upayapemerintah,&nbsp;kerjasama&nbsp;internasional, dan&nbsp;partisipasiaktif&nbsp;masyarakat, program&nbsp;penyebaran&nbsp;Wolbachia&nbsp;dapatmenjadi&nbsp;langkah&nbsp;menuju&nbsp;pengendalian&nbsp;yang&nbsp;lebih&nbsp;efektifterhadap&nbsp;penyakit&nbsp;menular.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indonesia,&nbsp;dengan&nbsp;populasi&nbsp;penduduknya&nbsp;yang&nbsp;besardan&nbsp;keragaman&nbsp;geografisnya,&nbsp;sering&nbsp;kali&nbsp;menghadapitantangan&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;pengendalian&nbsp;penyakit&nbsp;yang&nbsp;ditularkanoleh&nbsp;nyamuk.
